Do you struggle to prioritize routine actions that support your body, mind, spirit, and nervous system? I do too!

AND, I’ve been using an original self-attunement practice that I developed 6 years ago. Even though I still struggle, this system makes self-attunement a LOT easier!

  • Do you struggle with internalized demand avoidance to things that you want to do?
  • Do you feel like the pressure you put on yourself to achieve goals doesn't work?
  • Do you shame or blame yourself or feel like a failure for not reaching goals?
  • When you don't reach a goal, do you make that mean something negative about who you are as a person?
  • Does neuro-normative goal setting advice make you want to scream?

If you said yes to these, this course is for you!

Goal working is more than just setting goals; it also involves shifting and striking goals based on the body’s changing needs… and it’s these adjustments, not the goals themselves, which gradually, over time create attunement.

This is NOT about the consumerist, hyper-individualist form of self-love. We're focusing on a radical, liberatory, interconnected kind of self-love that acknowledges how extremely difficult it can be to care for ourselves in the midst of ongoing systemic trauma, while also recognizing that self-love is a part of our experience that we do have some control over.

I’m a neurodivergent researcher with lived experience of attempting to implement self-care and self-love in spite of ableism, capitalism, patriarchy, and queerphobia. I'll be teaching mostly from my own experience and sharing how I approach working with goals.

What are the sessions like?

Each zoom recording lasts around 90 minutes to 2 hours. In these sessions I'm sharing about what I’ve learned about goal working as it relates to nervous system care.

This is an interactive course that creates space for you to set goals or intentions at the beginning of the month and then transform your goals after seeing how they work for a few weeks. Key word there: how THEY work, not how you perform. We're evaluating the goals and changing them to fit us, NOT evaluating ourselves.

During the first session of each month, we make time to brainstorm supportive goals for that month based on what our nervous systems need.

During the second session of each month, I coach us through adjusting goals to match our evolving needs. This is an opportunity to re-work your goals to be less pressurey and more neuro-affirming.

Who is this for?

  • Trauma survivors, chronic illness warriors, neurodivergents, disabled people, and anyone else who struggles with self-love because of life circumstances

  • People who are fed up with capitalistic productivity-based goal setting or so-called SMART goals and would rather think about goals in a more flexible, kind, and supportive way

  • People who want a trauma-informed, somatic-based, neurodivergent-affirming, community-centered space to learn, connect, and practice listening to our bodies
